I have my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Lake Erie College. My Master's degree is in Special Education, in which I had a 4.0 at the end of my program. In the fall I plan on pursuing my Ph.D in secondary education.

Experience:

I have many different types of tutoring experience. I have tutored ESL students, children with disabilities, GED readiness, math and english OAT prep and many other subjects.

I enjoy being a tutor because I enjoy working one on one with a student. I like to witness the change in abilities and see the student succeed.

Hobbies:

I enjoy playing and watching sports. I do NOT watch tv at all. I enjoy technology and reading books. I like video games, but I do not own any systems. I like to stay active and have fun.

I am currently attending Kent State University in hopes of receiving a bachelor's degree in human development and family studies with a minor in psychology. My current GPA is a 3.2 and I received a 22 on my ACT test score. I would love to be a tutor because I enjoy working with people and I would love to interest someone in something that they are not interested in yet. I love psychology and sociology and I apply it to my everyday life. I feel that if someone is not doing well in a subject they will never be interested in it, and interest and passion for learning is important in succeeding and receiving good grades.
I am currently taking a cognitive psychology course and quantitative methods of psychology. I am also taking a interpersonal relationships and families course for my major. I hope to one day be a counselor.
I have never tutored before, but I truly have a passion for learning and I love to interest people in topics involving psychology and sociology. I also think that organization and being prepared for class is key to learning. I hope to help out your son or daughter in their schooling experience.

Hobbies:

I am currently a member of the sorority Delta Gamma, which received the most scholarly chapter award this semester at Kent State. I was a cheerleader all through middle school and high school and I was the captain my junior and senior year of high school

Experience:

I realized at a very young age, probably because both my parents were in the educational field, that experience is crucial. That is why I have only taken jobs in which I gain valuable experience because we all know education is very circumstantial. I have worked as a Head counselor for a summer camp that integrated children with developmental delays into a community based setting. I have worked as a 1:1 student aide with a child who had autism and have also been the site administrator at a local after school program for an integrated class. Other than those I have numerous volunteer hours including coaching both basketball and track for typical and special needs students. I am a very open minded person who embraces diversity inside the classroom or area of learning. I truly believe that learning from others and in various ways can take you as far as you want to go in your educational process. I am currently working on dual degrees, both in special ed., and love to integrate what I learn from all the classes into my job.
