Karen H.
Private tutor in Cuyahoga Falls, OH
Education
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and history with minors in anthropology and psychology from Kent State University in 2001. My grade point average in all my undergraduate classes was a 3.82, and I had a GPA of about 3.9 in my major classes. In 2010, I earned my Master of Library Science degree from Kent State, with a 3.84 GPA.
Experience
I have always been a good student. In high school, I earned a 30 on the ACT and perfect scores on the math and verbal sections of the SAT --- though, unfortunately, not on the same day. I also scored well (80th-90th percentiles) on the GRE and LSAT, which I took in about 2001.

Hobbies
I would like to be a tutor because I believe education should be fun. Unfortunately, for many students, it is not. Finding the right person to explain things in the right way can open a new world to a struggling student. Finding ways to relate to a student -- and showing him or her how a lesson might relate to his or her individual interests -- is an important part of teaching. My interests include hiking, biking, photography, reading, journalism and the outdoors. I also love water activities and animals.
